First things first – everyone entering a museum must have an Immunity Certificate. The Hungarian authorities are currently working on issuing foreigners vaccinated in Hungary, but who don’t have Hungarian ID, with these precious cards.
Museums already opened include: the Museum of Fine Arts, the Műcsarnok, the National Museum, the Ludwig Museum, the Capa Center, Mai Manó House, Aquincum, the House of Terror, Memento Park, the Hospital in the Rock, the Railway History Park and the Semmelweis Museum of Medical History.
Due to open today, 13 May, are the Ferenc Hopp East Asian Museum, Hungarian National Gallery, the Hungarian Museum of Commerce and Catering, and the Vasarely Museum. The Budapest History Museum – Castle Museum and the Kiscelli Museum should be open by 1 June, the Franz Liszt Memorial Museum from 15 June.
Among the major museums yet scheduled to open in the near future are the Museum of Military History Museum, the Museum of Agriculture and the Bartók Memorial House.
