The three major sections of the Budapest History Museum (Budapesti Történeti Múzeum) are found in different locations in the capital. The collections - Roman Antiquities, archaelogy (Aquincum Museum), Medieval (Castle Museum) and Modern Age, local history and fine art (Kiscelli Museum) were almost simultenaously created, but developed independent of each other. The centre of the Budapest History Museum is found in Building E of the Buda Castle, also known as the Castle Museum (Vármúzeum).
