This weekend brings riverside cultural festivals, flea market treasures, brunch pop-ups, and plenty of music-filled evenings across Budapest. Here are some programmes worth adding to your calendar between 15 and 17 May.

NIGHT OF ARTIFACTS FESTIVAL 2026

Between 14 and 16 May, the Műtárgyak Éjszakája Festival returns for its tenth edition, taking place across around 70 venues with more than 120 programmes. The event offers a closer look at the world of art, opening doors to museums, studios, and galleries that are not always accessible to the public. Alongside exhibitions and professional talks, the programme also includes studio visits, themed walks, workshops, discussions, and film screenings.

SOLINFO GARAGE SALE

This spring, the showrooms and stores of Solinfo Group are once again refreshing their interiors and clearing out their warehouses to make room for new arrivals and collections. Between 13 and 16 May, visitors to the Solinfo Garage Sale will be able to shop unique showroom pieces, original boxed designer and technical lighting from past projects, as well as furniture and rugs at discounted prices. Home of Solinfo will also join the sale, offering a wide selection of design accessories at a fraction of their original price.

NÉPSZIGET KULTFESZT 2026

On 15 and 16 May, the former MAHART Shipyard on Népsziget opens its creative studios to the public as part of the Népsziget Kultfeszt. The industrial space on Zsilip Street, now home to painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, and designers, offers visitors a glimpse into one of Budapest's most exciting artistic communities through exhibitions, workshops, and concerts. The event series will close with a performance by theBaló Sámuel Trió. Participation in all programmes is free.

TELEKI ZSIBI FLEA MARKET AT TELEKI SQUARE MARKET

The Teleki Zsibi flea market returns to Teleki Square Market on 16 May, welcoming visitors with a wide selection of second-hand treasures in good condition, including clothes, accessories, home décor items, electronics, books, and vinyl records. The event will also feature live music programmes, while food and drinks will be provided by Teleki Reggel Délben, Ramóna Büfé, Lángos Büfé, and Kalamajka. Entry to the event is free.

BLOOM MARKET & BRUNCH AT PIKSZIS

A new event series called Bloom Market & Brunch launches at Pikszis on 16 May, bringing together design, gastronomy, and good vibes in a smaller, more intimate market setting. The first edition revolves around growth and the power of colour: under the theme Color Up, the event aims to spotlight diverse creators, fresh ideas, and playful, characterful design. Music will also be part of the atmosphere throughout the day, with sounds provided by JumpMFR.

HELLO MARGIT! FESTIVAL 2026

The Hello, Margit! Festival returns between 14 and 17 May with a diverse programme lineup including theatre performances, reading evenings, talks, concerts, design walks, exhibitions, and workshops. The event series opens with a performative fashion show at Fény Street Market, while the programme also includes the Mechwart picnic, local history walks, children's activities, yoga sessions, and movement workshops. Several of the events can be attended free of charge.

GIULIA PRESENTS ITS NEW MENU

Giulia kicks off the weekend with the debut of its new summer menu in the garden, accompanied by signature cocktails and a lively evening atmosphere. The refreshed selection reinterprets Italian classics with a playful twist, featuring sharing-style antipasti, colourful seafood pastas with bold flavours, and hearty secondi dishes, all rounded off with irresistible dolci. The new menu launches this weekend but will remain available throughout the summer season.

Zsiráf Pest launches its new INTERNATIONAL DAYS event series with a four-day Latin-themed fiesta filled with Mexican and Spanish-inspired food specials, cocktails, colourful decorations, and Latin rhythms. Designed to bring together locals, travellers, expats, and international communities through food, music, and shared cultural experiences, the event transforms the terrace into a lively urban gathering spot throughout the weekend, with free entry for everyone.
