Thanks to AirportHUB Bag Free HUB, an official partner of Budapest Airport, travelers can now check in their hold baggage at a dedicated facility on Kálvin Square before making their way to the airport. After checking in their luggage, travelers are free to continue sightseeing, enjoy a leisurely lunch, visit a café or fit in some last-minute shopping, without having to drag their suitcases around the city.

The service is currently available for eligible Wizz Air passengers travelling on selected flights departing between noon and midnight (except for flights to Baku and Tel Aviv). To use it, travelers must complete online check-in in advance and have a valid boarding pass with a barcode or QR code. Bags must be dropped off at least four hours before the scheduled departure time and must comply with the airline's baggage regulations regarding size, weight and shape.

The process is designed to be simple and familiar. Similar to self-service baggage drop systems at airports, passengers can print their baggage tags on-site, attach them to their suitcases and hand them over to AirportHUB staff. A step-by-step instructional video is available, and trained staff members are on hand to assist throughout the process.

Security remains a top priority. Once checked in, baggage is transported to Budapest Airport in a locked vehicle with a secure cargo compartment and under continuous supervision. Upon arrival at the airport, the bags undergo the same screening and handling procedures as any other checked baggage.
