Kalóz Records, a longtime favourite among record collectors in Budapest's Palace Quarter, has now gained international recognition.

Kalóz Records is a cosy store in Budapest's Palace Quarter, tucked behind the National Museum. It has the feel of a library, inviting you to browse a vast selection of vinyl – including rare gems – alongside cassettes and CDs. And recently, the music-savvy crew at the store were in for a surprise: the renowned Financial Times had compiled a list of the best record stores in the world, and among them, Kalóz made the cut.

According to Financial Times, while the shop may be small, it boasts an impressive and diverse selection of records, including rare finds, with friendly staff always ready to help. The Kalóz Records team admits they don't quite see themselves in the same league as the world's best just yet – but they're still proud, and rightfully so!

Open daily from 11 am to 7 pm, except Tuesdays and Sundays, they're also offering a 20% discount until 25 January.
