Friday, 3 July

VÉNÉGY FESTIVAL

From 1 to 4 July, the banks of the Danube in Nagymaros will once again come alive as the VéNégy Festivaland Theatre Meeting returns for its 13th edition. This year's lineup features French collective Nouvelle Vague, Dutch electronic outfit Kraak & Smaak, and Hungarian favourites including Bagossy Brothers Company, Dánielfy, Parno Graszt, Analog Balaton, Elefánt and Bohemian Betyars.

ESTI KORNÉL TWO-NIGHT CONCERT AT KOBUCI KERT (GARDEN)

Betweeen 2 and 3 July, Esti Kornél will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special two-night concert at Kobuci Kert. Each evening will spotlight a different decade of the band's career: Thursday's setlist draws exclusively from the first four albums - Egytől egyig, Boldogság, te kurva, Ne félj, and Éjszaka van - while Friday focuses on songs from Eltűnt idő, Nyitva hagytam, and Elég.

HELLO PIAC

Hello Piac Design Fair returns to Budapest on 4 July, taking over Vigadó Square with a curated selection of handmade goods by Hungarian designers and artisans. Browse everything from jewellery, clothing and home décor to gourmet treats, natural cosmetics and eco-friendly products, then enjoy the lively riverside atmosphere. Entry is free, and dogs are welcome too.

BUDAPEST SUP FESTIVAL 2026

On 4 July, the Budapest SUP Festival returns for its eleventh edition, bringing one of the capital's largest community watersports events back to the Danube. Participants will paddle from the Római-part to Kopaszi-gát, taking in some of Budapest's most iconic landmarks from a unique perspective along the way.

GARDRÓB COMMUNITY FLEA MARKET

Refresh your wardrobe sustainably at the summer edition of the Gardrób Community Flea Market on 4 July at Dürer Kert. One of Hungary's largest second-hand fashion markets offers everything from clothing and shoes to bags and accessories, while those ready for a wardrobe clear-out can also sign up as sellers or donate unwanted pieces on site.

Sunday, 5 July

FREE PROGRAMMES AT THE ÓBUDA GRUND CHILDREN'S SPORTS AND PLAY PARK

Families can enjoy a day of free outdoor fun at the Óbuda Grund Children's Sports and Play Park, where interactive games and sporting challenges await visitors on 5 July. Activities include a gladiator duel, boxing ring, football billiards, giant chess and target games, while the selection of 12 play stations changes from week to week, making every visit a little different. The free programme also returns on 12, 19 and 26 July, as well as on selected dates in August and September.

SZERENCSEJÁTÉK ZRT. DERBY AND FASHION FESTIVAL

Taking place on 4 and 5 July at Kincsem Park, the Szerencsejáték Zrt. - Derby & Divat Festival combines some of Hungary's most prestigious horse racing events with a lively programme for all ages. Alongside the races, visitors can enjoy food stalls, fashion shows, a hat competition and family-friendly activities, while admission is free throughout the weekend.

DENAGYVILÁG FESTIVAL 2026

From 3 to 5 July, the Denagyvilág Festival returns to Szigetmonostor, bringing a diverse programme of music, art and cultural events to several locations across Szentendre Island. This year's lineup includes Cimbaliband, Intim Torna Illegál, Péterfy Bori & Love Band, Mocskonyi Dörgő and Artúr Rambo, while the festival's folk pub will once again come alive with music throughout the weekend.
