Spring always sees the ELTE Botanical Gardens in bloom and 2020 has just witnessed its first visitors. With pre-booking, masks and social distancing, 400 people a day can still admire the beautiful plants and flowers in this oasis of tranquillity – as our photographer Gábor Szabó found out when he went on re-opening day.
As we reported recently, the ELTE Botanical Gardens have just re-opened for limited numbers of visitors. The ELTE Botanical Gardens date back to the 1700s. Hidden away deep in District VIII, they contain cacti, orchids and huge water lilies.
