Starting from next week, the ELTE Botanical Gardens are being reopened for a limited number of registered visitors.

The ELTE Botanical Gardens date back to the 1700s. Hidden away deep in District VIII, they contain cacti, orchids and huge water lilies.

Next week, from 27 April, they will be re-opening to registered visitors, with a maximum of 400 people per day within opening hours. Visitors must wear masks and remain two metres away from other guests.

To register, head to the Events tab of the ELTE Füvészkert Facebook page, and select the preferred day of visit. There, you can see how many slots are left for each day. The opening hours and entrance fees remain the same, but do note that the greenhouses are closed.
