The 100E Airport Express runs between Ferenc Liszt International Airport and the city centre – Deák Ferenc tér, which is about as central as it gets – with a stop at Kálvin tér along the way. It's affordable, direct, and drops you off at the city centre in just 40 minutes. The service operates 24/7, every day of the week, and starting 1 May, buses will run even more frequently – every 6–7 minutes – to keep up with the summer rush.
Also, heads up for those visiting in the upcoming days: a long weekend is on the horizon (1-4 May), which means locals will likely be out and about making the most of their four days off, so expect busier roads and a livelier city.

Over the four-day long weekend starting 1 May, the 100E Airport Express will run at its highest frequency each day. From May onwards, the schedule gets a boost:
- On Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays during morning and afternoon peak hours, buses will depart every 6 minutes.
- On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, service improves from the previous 7–8 minute intervals to every 6–7 minutes.
- On Saturdays, buses will run every 6–7 minutes in the morning, and every 7–8 minutes in the afternoon.
The Express service is always timed to match the airport's busiest travel directions – more departures head toward the airport in the early morning, and toward the city centre late at night. You can check the full schedule on the BKK (Centre for Budapest Transport) website.

You can buy a single ticket for the 100E service through the BudapestGO app, at BKK ticket machines, customer service points (plenty located at the airport), and at BKK ticket offices. To find the nearest sales location, just use the interactive map on the BKK website.
