10am - : Festival of Folk Arts at the Buda Castle
During the weekend, this festival celebrates Hungarian folk arts in the historical setting of Buda Castle. Unique handmade pieces of jewellery, wooden musical instruments, ornate pottery, fine fabrics, fashion accessories and many interesting Magyar-made craft items will all be available for purchase, and workshops await those eager to learn special skills. 7pm - 4am: Dirty Black Summer Tribute Feszt at Dürer Kert
On Friday night, Dürer Kert throws a tribute party with bands paying homage to Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, Guns 'n' Roses, Blink 128, Red Hot Chili Peppers and System of a Down.
8pm - : Film Music Fantasy - Symphonic film music concert at the Margaret Island Open-Air Stage
When the sun sets on Friday the best pieces of movie music take the stage on Margaret Island. A symphonic orchestra will play iconic songs from popular films such as Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Superman, Batman and many other popular films.
11pm - 5am: Baby loves RapperS of the ’90S at Hellobaby Bar
On Friday night the biggest rap hits of the ’90s fill Hellobaby Bar. Familiar songs from Puff Daddy, LL Cool J, 2 Pac, Notorious B.I.G., House of Pain and Run DMC will play all night long. Don't miss.
Saturday
8am - 2pm: Czakó Piacz at Czakó Kert
A farmers’ market full of friendly vendors awaits visitors in the lovely garden of an old Hungarian peasant house, bringing the atmosphere of the countryside to Budapest. Stalls offer organic products, vegetables, eggs, mouthwatering meats, handcrafted cheeses, wild mushrooms and countless unique specialities unavailable elsewhere in the capital. The chef at Czakó Kert prepares breakfast and lunchfrom the delicacies on sale here while the market is open.
10am - 10pm: CityMatiné - Super Matiné Bros at Napozó
Delicious daytime drinks by the pool, fine food, dancing to hedonistic house beats amid the coolest company – and you're in bed by 11pm. Sounds pretty hard to beat, doesn’t it? The pioneer of daytime parties, CityMatiné, throws another sunlit party this summer at Napozó, with a Supermario theme on Saturday.
1pm - 10pm: Sun & Soda w/ HOSH, YokoO, Gorje Hewek & Izhevski at Akvárium Klub
A new party series debuts on Saturday on the steps of the Akvárium Klub that turns into a tropical beachside resort. Grass, shades, plants and mini pools will fill the place and DJs will spin discs all afternoon long to create a cool beachside atmosphere right in the heart of the city.
2pm - : Lick The Click! Sunburst x Isu, Crimson, Chrom at A38
The DJs of Lick The Click!, Isu, Crimson and Chrom, are daredevils of the dancefloor. They mix up house, punk funk and dubby disco like nobody else, while delicious drinks flow constantly. Sooner or later, this combination sees everyone end up on the dance floor.
6pm - : Die Antwoord at Budapest Park
Eccentric South African band, Die Antwoord, return to Budapest Park on Saturday evening. They are bound to be bringing their unconventional hit songs (Enter The Ninja, Baby’s On Fire) with them, all the way from Cape Town.
Sunday
10am - 5pm: Antik PLACC Flea Market at the Klauzál tér Market Hall
On Sunday morning, the Klauzál tér Market Hall turns into an indoor flea market filled with stalls crammed with antiques, design objects, retro specialities and all kinds of cool and unexpected knickknacks. There is no entry fee, so feel free to browse all day.
6:15pm - 9pm: Salsa Party at the Margaret Island Musical Fountain
A cool and free salsa party awaits on Sunday at the musical fountain of Margaret Island. This is a very laid-back event, everyone can turn up and dance, and there will be professionals from the Budapest Street Salsa company to help. Breaks will be included when the fountain plays its music.
7:30pm - 10pm: Grease at the Budapest Rooftop Cinema
You better shape up because one of the best musicals of all time screens above Budapest on Sunday. Don your leather jacket, pull on your bobby socks and embark on a trip to the fabulous fifties. Join the Rydell High School class of 1959 including Danny, Sandy and the rest of the gang as they sing their way through such classic hits.
