Indulge yourself in the fine piscine cuisine between Friday and Sunday and try both local and international fish dishes. The festival will be taking place in the car park next to the Kunsthalle at Heroes' Square. More details
10am - 6pm: Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich: Homage to Photographic Masters at the Kunsthalle
The Budapest Photo Festival is on now, entertaining shutterbugs with various events for two months. One of its highlighted exhibitions features pictures by American star photographer Sandro Miller, taken of long-time friend and Hollywood legend, John Malkovich. In these portraits, Malkovich dresses up as the subjects recognizable from iconic photographs in film history as a lighthearted homage to masterminds of film and photo history who inspired Miller. 7pm - 10pm: Brewery of the month in March: Rothbeer at Beerselection
Every month, Beerselection picks the brewery of the month, presenting their succulent suds that you can try here for a whole month. In March the spotlight is on Rothbeer and at the opening event on Friday you can meet the team as well as try their various kinds of tasty beers. Our recommendations are Bundes IPA, Honey Moon and Távoli Galaxis.
7pm - 11pm: Son Lux at Dürer Kert
All so wonderful Son Lux are coming to Budapest on Friday! Their biggest hit, Easy – featured in a highly-praised and beautiful 2015 drama starring Vincent Cassel, Mon Roi – is always there to get you through the worst heartbreak or loneliest weekend. Tickets are sold out, but you may still be lucky on (legal!) ticket-swapping websites, or perhaps on the night.

11am - 7pm: Coffee Bar Bazaar at Akvárium Klub
In 2018, KávéBár Bazár (CoffeeBar Bazaar) is taking place on Saturday and Sunday at Akvárium Klub, where visitors can taste more than 100 creative products of many exhibitors, coffees, wines, distillates and wine biscuits – and all with just one ticket. Various other attractions and contests fill out the agenda.
10am - 6pm: Spring Fair of Hungarian Flavors at the Castle Garden Bazaar
On Saturday and Sunday, the Fair of Hungarian Flavors celebrates the start of spring with fresh goods from local producers. Hams, pork products, artisanal cheeses, dairy products, jams, vegetable pâtés, mushrooms, honeys, chocolates and other sweets, freeze-dried fruit, pastas, spices, game, fish, fruit syrups, wines and pálinka brandy specialties all await at this stunning venue.
4pm - 10pm: Francophone Film Days at various venues
Enjoy French films this weekend in Budapest! Between February 28th and March 7th, many modern French movies screen with original audio, plus English and Hungarian subtitles, at the Corvin Cinema, Puskin Cinema, Toldi Cinema and the French Institute. 5pm - 6:30pm: The Red Turtle at the Bem Cinema
This colorful animation film for adults has been recently captivating audiences worldwide. Through the story of a man shipwrecked on a tropical island inhabited by turtles, crabs and birds, this silent film recounts the milestones in the life of any human being.
11:30pm - 6am: Man With No Name - UK (New Album Preview) at A38
If there was a Goa trance Bible, the Man With No Name, British DJ Martin Freeland, would be on the first page. On Saturday, he takes the stage at the A38, a cool concert venue floating on the Danube near Petőfi Bridge on the Buda side.

10am - 4pm: Slow Gastro Market at Anker't
Slow Gastro Market aims to support a health-conscious and sustainable lifestyle by presenting various treats made naturally of high-quality ingredients. Friendly vendors offer syrups, teas, sausages, cheeses, yogurts, cakes, pies, dips, quails' eggs, chutneys, honeys and all kinds of tasty bites, all at Anker’t on Sunday.
10:30am - 10pm: Mozart Day at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music
The two grandiose concert halls of the Music Academy fill with the perplexing pieces of Mozart all day on Sunday. Outstanding soloists, orchestras and music ensembles lead the audience into the wonderful world of the prodigious musical maestro with ten concerts in total.
7pm - 11:30pm: Baths at Dürer Kert
Will Wiesenfeld, aka Baths, is coming to Hungary for the first time on Sunday.BBC critic Mike Diver once called him the groundbreaker of chillwave, while the British Drowned in Sound magazine described his music as unorthodox. Although Baths is American, he’s been mainly successful in England and in other Western European countries due to his unique sound, instrumental and electronic music, and characteristic falsetto.
7pm - 6am: Oscar Weekend at Anker't
The Academy Awards Gala is on Sunday and Hungary will be especially excited with a chance to win a third Oscar in a row. Be part of the fun and head to Anker't in the evening, enjoy various events and watch the Oscar Gala live from 2am local time.
