Our regular roundup for the upcoming weekend offers plenty of suggestions for where to go, what to do, and who must not be missed during the next three days. There are always so many happenings to choose from in Budapest – exhibitions, parties, live music, festivals and more – but here is our pick of the bunch:

Friday

2pm - 10pm: 14th Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival at various venues

Verzió is an annual documentary film festival highlighting human rights with thought-provoking mini movies, this year held between November 14th and 19th at various cinemas. With the festival already underway, the weekend hold exciting screenings such as The Last Man In Aleppo, Tomorrow We Disappear and The Trial. 4pm - 11pm: Night of Street Food at various venues

Various kinds of handheld treats concocted from special ingredients, craft beers, special menus and discounts of 20-50% await hungry visitors on Friday night at participating street-food places. This is the fifth Night of Street Food being run in Budapest, and perhaps the last for some time, so do not miss out on the chance to feast on tasty treats.

8pm - 1am: Marie Claire Fashion Days at the Castle Garden Bazaar

The stunning venue of the Castle Garden Bazaar turns into a catwalk between Friday and Monday, where guests can familiarize themselves with next year's fashion trends through the shows of up-and-coming Hungarian designers who present their latest collections. More details (in Hungarian).

11pm - 5am: Bonita Fridays w./ Reinas Del Ritmo at Yellow

Every Friday, bar/club Yellow echoes with hot Latin reggaeton tunes until 3am, while afterwards everything from R&B to hip hop and new core to trap entice partygoers to the dance floor.

11:30pm - 6am: Wannabe XXL - Best of '90s and '00s at Akvárium Klub

Those who want to surf the wave of nostalgia for the '90s and who might like to zig-a-zig-ah can venture into the pop goldmine of Akvárium Klub on Friday night, and dance to the hottest and most awkward hits of Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls and Girls Aloud late into the night.

Saturday

10am - 7pm: PlayIT Show Budapest at Hungexpo

Hodor is coming to Budapest! At this year's PlayIT show Game of Thrones enjoys a special role, as visitors can meet two actors from the popular TV series, Kristian Nairn (Hodor) and Ellie Kendrick (Meera Reed). PlayIT provides interesting and varied attractions for all ages and genders, and for anyone interested in the world of IT, mobile and video games. Just to give a selection of what you’ll find here on Saturday, there’ll be a cosplay village, e-sport championships, workshops and all kinds of social activities.

6:30pm - 11pm: Double Feature: Jaws and Jurassic Park at the Bem Cinema

Two major blockbusters will be back on the big screen on Saturday, when you can watch two classic monster movies by Steven Spielberg with just one ticket. Jaws frightened millions of movie goers out of the water in 1975 and Jurassic Park made many of us check for gigantic man-eating beasts under the bed in the '90s. Both screen with original English audio and Hungarian subtitles at the Bem Cinema on Saturday.

12pm - 7pm: Mitiszol Festival at Millenáris

This one-day event highlights various kinds of organic products available to sample at this massive exhibition space. Guests can try more than 100 varieties of wine, beer, cider, fruit juice, syrups, teas, dairy products, salads and Hungarian pálinka brandy, as well as meet the producers of eco-friendly goods such as organic cheese and seasonal vegetables. 8pm - 11pm: RedRed and Sena Dagadu at Instant

RedRed and the wonderful Hungarian-Ghanian underground diva, Sena Dagadu, have earned the right to represent Hungary at the closing conference of the 5th African Union-European Union Summit held between November 29th and 30th in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Before they do, they will be presenting the show they have put together for the occasion to a local audience at Instant on Saturday.

10pm - 4am: Balkan Party at Mika Tivadar Mulató

On Saturday night the best Balkan tunes set the beat at Mika Tivadar Mulató as French DJ Lapidem plays everything from Boban Marković through Shantel to Goran Bregović.

Sunday

10am – 11:30am: Yoga Brunch at the Rudas Bath

Start your Sunday with a yoga session while enjoying wonderful views of the city through huge glass windows. Rudas Bath awaits everyone with a 60-minute yoga session, and a hearty and healthy brunch as a reward afterwards. Please bear in mind that registration is necessary (yogabrunchbudapest@gmail.com) and there is only a limited number of mats, so it is best to bring your own. Namaste!

10am - 6pm: WAMP DIY Day at Millenáris

WAMP is a community event and a design fair, organized on a regular basis in the heart of Budapest, where up-and-coming Hungarian designers showcase their works. This time you can get creative, making one-of-a-kind jewelry, accessories and décor items with the help of dexterous designers.

8pm - 11pm: The Muse of David Lynch, Chrysta Bell, in Budapest at Dürer Kert

Chrysta Bell Zucht, known professionally as Chrysta Bell, is an American singer, songwriter, model and actress. She has been working with famed director David Lynch eversince the pair met in 1999 and together they have released two albums in the genre of dream pop. Her voice and musical style are described as ethereal and sensual. She will perform songs from her new album,  “We Dissolve, on Sunday at Dürer Kert.

9pm - 11:30pm: Sound of Thrones - Symphonic Live koncert 2.0 at Hungexpo

The Budapest PlayIT show places a special focus on Game of Thrones this year, therefore organizes a cool concert featuring the best songs from the hit TV series. As the event has created a real storm and tickets are already sold out for the Saturday gig, the concert will be held on Sunday evening as well, so all GOT fans should be able to hear those wonderful melodies played by an orchestra.
