During the FINA World Championships, some of Budapest’s pools gained global fame while the water-sports competitions were broadcast worldwide, but in addition to these locations, the city boasts many other aquatic facilities that are equally fascinating, including famous thermal baths and hidden pool complexes. Now we can view most of these water parks from a never-before-seen perpective after Hungarian photographer Milan Radisics captured several of these establishments from an aerial view, creating scale-model-like images of varied spas.

The thermally heated alfresco amenities of Pest’s iconic Széchenyi Bath, the ornate wave pool at the Art Nouveau Gellért Bath, the illuminated hot tub atop Rudas Bath, and the dome of the Turkish-style Király Bath can all be seen from unique perspectives in the soaring drone images captured by Budapest-based visual storyteller Milan Radisics, whose aquamarine-hued photos were recently featured on the popular website Bored Panda. Besides the famous thermal baths, many of the artist’s images show lesser-known summertime plunge zones, including Pünkösdfürdő Bath, Római Bath, and Csillaghegyi Bath, while one of the pictures allows us to catch high flying glimpses of the pools aboard a cruise liner anchored in Budapest.
