Electrify Series Volume 10 – William Basinski
at Trafó The tenth installment of Trafó’s Electrify series will present William Basinski, one of ambient’s living legends, whose music captures the passing of time using decaying tape loops; Andrew Pekler, the cosmopolite of nostalgic experimental music; and Lanuk, who created his own language out of unstable sequencers, raw synth sounds, and caterwauling noises. If you are a fan of Brian Eno, John Cage, or Steve Reich, this program is a must!

11pm - 4am: Gang Of Ducks X Farbwechsel at Toldi ClubItaly’s Gang Of Ducks is difficult to pin down in pretty much all regards. More of a loose artistic collective with a record-releasing arm than a straightforward label, the group revels in anonymity, and only one thing is sure about them: they’ve been responsible for some our favorite releases from the last few years. This time, XIII and Sabla will represent the label, while Farbwechsel will send AiwA and S Olbricht in the ring.

Quack!
11pm - 6am: LavaLava Presents Kornél Kovács at LÄRM Along with fellow Academy grad Axel Boman and Petter, Stockholm’s Kornél Kovács runs the always-excellent, always-surprising Studio Barnhus imprint. The crew has injected a sense ofwhimsy into the often chilly/humorless climes of house and techno, with records that sample speed garage classics and bear titles like “Good Children Make Bad Grown Ups”. Kornél released an impressive amount of floor-focused cuts, so put on your dancing shoes when you leave for the club!

6pm - 10pm: Terminator Versus Robocop Weekend at Bem CinemaOn Saturday and Sunday, Bem Cinema screens two films, starring two of the most badass action heroes of the ’80s:

Robocop and Terminator. Due to its impressive action sequences, taut economic direction, and relentlessly fast pace, it’s safe to say that the latter film hasn’t aged a bit since it premiered in 1984. And the same can be said about Paul Verhoeven’s smart and gory sci-fi flick, starring a crime-fighting cyborg. Both films are screened with original audio and Hungarian subtitles.
7pm: Karma To Burn, Sons Of Morpheus, Buso Von Kobra, Red Swamp at Dürer KertThe apocalyptic riff moguls, aka Karma To Burn, is back in Budapest!

So be prepared for Dürer Kert to turn into a desertscape populated with riffs heavy as hell.
