DAS FANNI KIMONO BIRTHDAY AT DÜRER KERT
Das Fanni Kimono is turning five, and they're throwing a stylish birthday bash at Dürer Kert on 15 August. The celebration comes packed with surprises, from a boutique corner featuring unique pieces by Hungarian designers to registration-only workshops for those who want to get hands-on. Four DJs will be spinning in fourdifferent styles, so there's a rhythm for everyone. Entry is free.
SHOOTING STAR TOUR WITH SUP BUDAPEST
On 15 August, you can celebrate the arrival of the Perseid meteor shower with the team from SUP Budapest at a secret stretch of the Danube where the stars shine brightest. Setting off from Szentendre, participants will enjoy a short, easysunset paddle before reaching the location – revealed only after registration. Once there, the evening will be all about campfires, roasting sausages, music, great company, and of course, shooting stars. After an overnight stay, the tour wraps up the next morning at Római-part.
CANDLE LAKE – COLDPLAY BY STRING QUARTET ON THE CITY PARK BOATING LAKE
Candle Lake is a new concert series that blends the beauty of nature, the magic of classical music, and the intimacy of candlelight to create an unforgettable experience. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the City Park Boating Lake, the series brings iconic Coldplay songs to life in string quartet arrangements by the Caprice Quartet, surrounded by thousands of floating candles in a soul-stirring atmosphere. After multiple sold-out shows, the event returns on 15 August for another taste of this unique concert experience.

AIRPORT NIGHT 2025
On 16 August, aviation fans can enjoy a magical night at Aeropark – Aviation Museum, right next to Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, which is celebrating its 75th birthday this year. The Night of the Airport offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the fascinating world of aviation, with special airport vehicles, vintage cars, illuminated cockpits, engine start-ups, pilot talks, career workshops, demonstrations, and even an aviation-themed talk show.
PILATES & PADEL DAY AT TOP PADEL CLUB
On 16 August, Padel Escape Events is serving up the perfect fitness combo – pilates and padel – at Top Padel Club. From 1 pm to 4 pm, professional trainers will guide you through pilates session to strengthen, stretch, and energise, followed by an upbeat padel class so you can experience first-hand why this racket sport has taken the world by storm. KASHMIR FESTIVAL 2025
The Kashmir Festival returns for its fifth edition on 16–17 August, taking over Népszínház Street for two days of culture, flavours, music, and dance. Alongside a colourful craft fair, you can sample Nepali, Indian, and African specialities as part of the international food line-up. With family-friendly activities, live performances, and plenty of opportunities to soak up the street's eclectic community spirit, it's a vibrant way to experience the rich cultural mix of Népszínház Street.

CHEEKY'S DELI BRINGS A POP-UP BRUNCH TO DUGATTYÚS
On 17 August, from 11 am to 5 pm, Cheeky's Deli takes over brunch duty at Dugattyús. In charge of the kitchen is chef Ákos Lukácsi, bringing along the spirit of his American-style sandwich shop – offering high-quality yet approachable comfort food made from top-notch ingredients. Fresh sandwiches, bold flavours, and a great atmosphere are all on the menu.
FESTIVAL OF FOLK ARTS 2025
From 17 to 20 August, the spotlight once again falls on traditional crafts, artisans, and creative communities as the Festival of Folk Arts returns to the Buda Castle. This year, you can meet nearly a thousand master craftsmen, international creators, and applied artists, watch live workshops, and take part in hands-on craft activities. The programme also features stage performances, fashion shows, and for the little ones, folk playhouses, children's concerts, storytelling, and dance lessons. The 2025 theme focuses on traditional clothing and folk jewellery – and the best part is, entry is free.
