Silent film screenings with live piano
On warm summer evenings in Budapest, few things sound better than watching classic silent films surrounded by trees at the Lóvasút Cultural and Event Centre in Zugliget – all accompanied by live piano music. The former horse tram terminal turns into a nostalgic open-air cinema on several nights this summer, inviting guests on a journey through time. On 6 and 27 August, you can catch classic cartoons, while on 14 August, Buster Keaton’s The Cameraman will be screened. All films will be accompanied by live piano performed by Dániel Miklós Répászky.

This summer, the Margit Quarter’s yoga series is back — and it’s open to both beginners and seasoned yogis. The “Move, Margit!” sessions take place every other Saturday in the peaceful, green surroundings of Mechwart liget, complete with birdsong and leafy shade. Road Movie 2025
As part of the 75th anniversary of Greater Budapest , the city is launching a unique summer programme for film lovers. Under the name Road Movie 2025 , free open-air screenings will take place across seven outer districts , bringing cinema magic to locations that have never hosted outdoor films before.
Expect cult classics in unexpected spots: on 21 August, Sose halunk meg will be shown at Pünkösdfürdő Beach, and Megáll az idő at Bikás Park. Then on 28 August, A legényanya screens at the Pestújhely Community House, followed by Macskafogó at DunaFok Leisure Centre on 29 August.

The Bacsó Bar Concert Series returns for its third edition , bringing live music to the cosy, revamped Bacsó Béla Street . Throughout the summer, you can catch talented young and up-and-coming musicians performing on the terrace of Csiga Café , every third Tuesday from 6 pm .
The series wraps up on 26 August with a special concert by Saya Noé, known for her dreamy alternative pop-noir sound — blending choral-style harmonies with deep, moody basslines for a truly atmospheric set.

On 29–30 August , Eötvös10 brings back YOU!Fest , the lively Terézváros Festival , for its fifth edition . Taking over Andrássy út once again, the event fills the iconic boulevard with cultural and entertainment programmes for all ages.
Expect dozens of theatre performances, hands-on creative workshops, a vibrant craft fair, and a tempting gastronomy quarter. Meanwhile, little ones can enjoy a variety of fun kids' activities throughout the day.
