Salt Bakery
With its freshly baked sourdough loaves, buttery pastries, and soft morning buzz, Salt Bakery has become one of Budapest’s most beloved artisan bakeries. Now with three locations — including a charming new spot on Hattyú Street in Buda — the team continues to blend fine-dining precision with neighbourhood warmth. The space feels calm and inviting, filled with the scent of bread just out of the oven and the quiet hum of coffee machines. It’s the kind of place where you come for a croissant and end up staying a little longer, simply because it feels good to be there.

Mamie by Artizán
Mamie, meaning 'grandmother' in French, is where patisserie cakes truly take centre stage . While Artizán always offered sweets like cheesecakes and mixed batter desserts, traditional Hungarian or French patisserie favourites weren't part of their core offering. This new brand is set to change that, focusing on those beloved traditional Hungarian desserts , all crafted with artisanal precision. Expect classics like Esterházy and Dobos cakes , along with creamy delights and Gerbeaud slices . These are complemented by a selection of French pastries, including Paris-Brest, tropézienne in various flavours, and the timeless mille-feuille.

Beloved Asian Cafe
Brand new on the city’s café map, Beloved Café is Budapest’s first 2D café, where every wall, chair, and coffee cup looks as if it’s been drawn with a black pen. The hand-painted interiors create a playful, cartoon-like illusion that makes you feel like you’ve stepped inside a sketchbook — a concept inspired by Japanese design. Alongside its creative look, Beloved serves Japanese-style pastries, matcha drinks, and light desserts that perfectly match the dreamy, minimalist vibe. It’s a fresh, whimsical addition to Budapest’s ever-evolving café scene — and almost impossible not to photograph.
