Funky Pho Days in the City Park
A real treat is coming to the City Park on the weekend as Funky Pho, a local-favourite Vietnamese street food spot that closed its shop years ago, is teaming up with Pántlika. From Friday to Saturday, you can feast on Southeast Asian classics and specialities, such as beef pho, kimchi, pacal salad (Hungarian stewed tripe and onions), and the award-winning Funky Pántlika Burger.
Typo Showroom Summer Sale
Typo Showroom is a shop stocking a vast and hand-picked selection of vintage and modern clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. And on 16-17 June, they are kicking off the summer with a big sale. Grab a vodka spritzer, enjoy the live DJ sets and start the treasure hunt!

The Night of Movement
The Night of Movement is an annual event promoting a love for sports. On June 16th, you can join 18 different workout types and activities in and around the City Park. Try yoga, Zumba, dancing, cycling, rollerblading, playing badminton, or running – all free of charge. No need to sign up in advance, just show up at Heroes' Square and start warming up.

Gárdonyi Picnic
Buda has this super vibrant street called Bartók Béla út, full of cafés, restaurants and galleries. City dwellers love it, but tourists haven't yet discovered it, so if you are up for having a picnic like a local, head to Gárdonyi tér on June 17th (2 pm - 10 pm). Concerts, workshops, board games, and a farmers' market will liven up the already lively neighbourhood.

Car-free Embankment
Starting this Saturday, a chunk of the lower quay of Pest will turn into a promenade. Every weekend between 17 June and 24 September, the road between the Margaret Bridge and Elizabeth Bridge (Jane Haining rakpart) will be car-free, so pedestrians and cyclists can take it over. On the opening weekend, you can join yoga classes, see a magic show, or go rowing.
Historical Tales with Mathame (IT)
On June 17th, you can join a party at a World Heritage site: the upcoming Historical Tale party will invade Buda Castle's Lion Courtyard. The musical world of the Italian techno duo Mathame arises from the years spent at the foot of the Etna and then exploded in 2018 with the songs Nothing around us and Fade into You, among others. They have already made remakes of the music of Diplo, Lost Frequencies, ZHU, Adriatique and Vril and collaborated with Tiësto and Feel Your Ghost.

Brunch + Pop-up – jewel edition
Greenhabit is a hip and health-conscious eatery in Buda. On June 18th (10 am - 2 pm), they are teaming up with three local businesses; Luiza jewels, Malna Jewellery, and Goldenhour at a cool pop-up event. But first brunch! Have a breakfast bowl or a pancake taco and sip on a mimosa or a coffee, and then you are all set for browsing the jewellery collection.
Children's Island 2023
Hajógyári Island is to be reclaimed by children between 16-18 June. All age groups will find activities to enjoy, starting from workshops, theatre and puppet shows to dancing and various concerts. Look out for the petting zoo, the circus, the clowns, the magician, the playgrounds, the bouncy castle, and other exciting games – all without an entry fee.

Son Lux (US)
The American experimental band Son Lux comes to Budapest on June 18th! The band is pretty diverse (geographically and culturally), with its members, Rafiq Bhatia, Ian Chang and Ryan Lott, representing different musical worlds. Thus their sounds end up being a meticulously developed, exciting cavalcade. At their upcoming concert at Dürer Kert, you can enjoy tracks from the trio's five albums along with the new song that has been released since then.
