The holiday spirit is at its all-time high at legendary café Gerbeaud. Adding a little extra to the festivities on Vörösmarty Square, they opened a Christmas pop-up shop, where you can buy beautiful decorations and cool home furnishings for the holidays. While there, try their special festive menu too.

The 165-year-old café and confectionery is offering a special surprise during the Christmas market season on Vörösmarty Square. In preparation for the holiday, a pop-up shop has been set up in the corner of the shop facing Dorottya Street. You can return to your childhood for 5 minutes as you look through the huge windows of the confectionery into this fairytale world. Entering the shop, you can choose from special gifts: from cute teddy bear ornaments to cool deer-shaped ice buckets, you'll find a wide range of items.

You can also buy the traditional Hungarian Christmas dessert, bejgli (walnut or poppy seed roll) and cakes to take home. And if you're feeling hungry, there's a special Christmas menu including fish soup and Gerbeaud slices to keep you going. For a truly special atmosphere, the festive scene and delicacies are complemented by programmes, with live music on weekends.
