Gin Market Budapest
With a gin craze sweeping Budapest, between Friday 10 and Sunday 12 June, you can familiarise yourself with the best brands, domestic and foreign, as well as top tonics, at this themed event. Bálna Budapest is hosting the first large-scale domestic festival with the juniper drink in the spotlight, Gin Market Budapest. The Queen’s favourite tipple was originally used medicinally and, contrary to popular belief, was not an invention of the English, as it was consumed in the Netherlands as early as the 17th century. Gin’s conquest of the globe spans several centuries, and has now reached Budapest. At Gin Market Budapest, you can pair the best domestic and foreign brands with the right tonic or even in the form of a cocktail. And if you’re a real aficionado, you can dive deeper into the world of gin at a masterclass. The atmosphere is cheerful and bubbly, and as day turns to night, resident DJ Yellow sets the tone. You can find more information about the event on the Gin Market Budapest Facebook page. (x)
