The extended present or a strange connection with time
A joint
exhibition by painters Orsolya Góra and István Halmi-Horváth and sculptor Emese
Somogyi opens at the B32 Galéria on 29 September, examining our changed
relationship with time over the last year.
The extended present indicates the
time zone in which the exhibited works were made. These three creators relate
to changed perceptions of time in three different ways of expression, yet along
common meeting points. Their new works explore key issues and ask engaging questions
of the viewer. The exhibition runs until 22 October.

A trip to Balaton at the Karinthy Szalon
Events are also taking place at the Karinthy Szalon, where an exhibition by painter Ábel Péterfy opens on 19 October, inviting the visitor to a fine art trip around Lake Balaton. Since his childhood, Ábel has lived by these shores, this natural way of life consciously taking him on a classic scenic journey. Like the landscape painters of old, he strolls the lakeside with his sketchbook and then processes these subjects in his studio.
His art is inspired by his favourite sport, surfing, as well as applying novel perspectives to using drones. The first allows the viewer to observe the sudden transformations of lake and sky from the middle of the water, while the second inspires Ábel to paint pictures of sailors or of an icy Lake Balaton from a bird’s eye view.
