French chef Jeremy Cayron has returned to Budapest to introduce a new menu at FELIX Kitchen & Bar, the upscale dining destination on the Buda bank of the Danube. Cayron, once of the Sofitel Hotel Paris Budapest, has worked at some of the most exciting restaurants in the world, and cooked for leading celebrities.

Taking his place alongside top sommelier Tamás Czinki, cocktail expert András Ódor and Petar Loncar, who once ran F&B operations at London’s prestigious Arts Club, Cayron will soon make his debut at the FELIX Kitchen & Bar with a menu called Inspirations and Memories, inspired not only by French cuisine but also by his travels around Europe and Asia.

His background both Belgian and American, Cayron grew up in a culinary family in the south of France. He has worked at some of the most prestigious restaurants in the world, starting at the Hôtel de Paris in Monaco, which also houses Alain Ducasse’s Le Louis XV, with three Michelin stars, Cayron’s second major appointment.

From there, Cayron moved to Michelin-starred Le P’tit Polyte at Les Deux Alpes near Grenoble, and then alongside five Michelin-star Catalan master Paco Pérez, whose expertise influenced him most.

Over 20-plus years of culinary travels, including a spell overseeing the kitchen at the Paris Budapest in Budapest's Sofitel Hotel, Jeremy has cooked for celebrities such as Bill Clinton, Brad Pitt and Emmanuel Macron.

For Cayron, quality means fresh seasonal ingredients and perfect flavour combinations. Wherever he has worked in the world, he has always been inspired by the local cuisine and the ingredients available there.

He has already started to call up Hungary's finest domestic producers and key international suppliers in Budapest, meeting them in person and testing their products.
