Felix is the kind of businessman who drives premium cars and drinks Japanese whisky, but spends the weekend with his grandparents, tucking into that evergreen Hungarian favourite, paprikás csirke. At least this is how we imagine the founder of this elegant restaurant that has been fashioned within the Várkert-kiosk, a riverside landmark created by key Habsburg-era architect Miklós Ybl. The venue offers unparalleled views and modern, Hungarian and international cuisine, among Budapest’s top brunch destinations since its opening in 2019. In their great selection, there’s room for everything from acai bowls to French toast, as well as one of the best aranygaluska sugared dumplings in town.
