As we move through Advent Sundays, Budapest is dressing up in ever more festive lights – and this year, the decorations have been created with eco-friendly ornaments. Our ace photographer Gábor Szabó went out to capture the scenes.
Budapest Decoration & Illuminations commissioned the production of
recycled ornaments to bring environmental awareness and energy efficiency to Christmas.
Due to their low weight, they also are kinder to trees. The lights used along Andrássy
út and around Városháza park require 40 percent less energy consumption
compared to previous years.
