18 October is International Champagne Day – so three prestigious Danube-facing hotels, the Marriott, the Sofitel and the InterContinental, have decided to join forces and celebrate together.
In addition to their own exclusive events organised for the day, including sampling sessions, masterclasses and dinners, the three hotels also offer the opportunity for everyone to taste nine world-class, award-winning champagnes instead of ordering a whole bottle, while strolling along the lovely Danube Promenade from hotel to hotel.
How it works is that anyone can purchase a champagne voucher at any of the participating hotels, which allows guests to try the premium drinks of each hotel's chosen champagne house, accompanied by gourmet bites, with a discount. Sofitel's Paris-Budapest restaurant partners up with Telemont, InterContinental's Corso Restaurant with Laurent Perrier, while the Marriott's DNB Budapest is offering outstanding examples by Veuve Clicquot. If you like, you can start as early as noon, and thanks to all the events taking place, you can meet the brand ambassadors until as late as 1am at the hotels' restaurants.
All three hotels believe that the co-operation provides an exclusive opportunity for guests to enjoy the world’s top champagnes in a truly special setting at an affordable price. Whether you’re a champagne aficionado or a novice, your taste buds will be properly pampered at this event, so be sure to sign up. For more details, check out the Facebook event (Hungarian-only) or contact any of the participating hotels.
