Photoholic from Hungary. This short Instagram bio suitably presents the driving force behind the passion project of Péter Rajkai, an emerging Hungarian architectural photographer. In his recently published series of images, Rajkai shows secret Budapest patios that are generally closed to the public. Breaking with simple mobile photography processes, the artist has recently been turning towards more advances camera techniques to show lesser-known parts of city buildings, including even landmarks. Check out this selection of his urban art.

“Luckily, wonderful old buildings are plentiful in Budapest”, says Rajkai, whose ardour for photography started with a few snaps he captured with his mobile phone while on holiday. A few years down the line, the artist found himself drawn by the building design that surrounds him daily. “It’s always exciting to go after and discover new urban artworks,” he continues. “I try to capture these beautiful buildings from distinct, never-before-tried angles and by now my portfolio features many pictures of this type.”

While scanning through the immersive images, look out for balloons, birds and even a chopper, flying high in the sky above these city constructions.
