Year after year, Sziget revelers flock to the festival’s Wedding Tent to “tie the knot” for the duration of the weeklong extravaganza, while inside this playful chapel revelers can walk down the aisle with anyone (or anything) that’s close to their heart – whether it’s a lifelong partner, a random Sziget dweller, a stuffed kitten, a pair of underwear, a glass of fröccs, or Sziget’s main stage. In 2016, We Love Budapest is in charge of this traditional festival activity and those who “get married” here can win a deluxe honeymoon in Budapest. Read on to find out more about the contest.

At the We Love Budapest Wedding Tent, lovebirds of the Sziget Festival 2016 can participate in a simple contest for a chance to win an awesome prize. After proposing, all you need to do is head to this temporary chapel, where couples are wed within just a few minutes. Here, in addition to receiving a marriage certificate, newlyweds will also have their photo taken, which automatically qualifies participants for the game. All of the photos that are taken during the day will be posted on the We Love Budapest Facebook page the next morning – all you have to do is find yourself in one of the pictures and share a funny or sweet story about how you met each other to join the contest.

After the festival is over, we will pick a couple with the best photo and story to provide them with a prize of a grand Budapest-based “honeymoon”. The package includes the following gifts:

  • A 50-minute cruise with Dunarama – speed on the Danube as a VIP passenger, accompanied only by the boat’s crew, without being surrounded by masses of travelers.
  • Cake Shop will prepare a custom “wedding cake” just for you that you can enjoy before, after, or during the cruise.
  • Combined ticket for two people to enter the Széchenyi Bath and the recently opened BeerSpa – in addition to the classic services, you will get a chance to try the new beer tub, located beneath Széchenyi Bath. Soaking in suds and enjoying unlimited beer on tap is a truly intoxicating experience.
  • Two nights with breakfast at the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest – you can schedule all of the above-mentioned adventures for two days, since you can spend two nights at one of Budapest’s most luxurious hotels.
