6pm - : 3. Vertigo Film Week at Puskin Cinema Vertigo Film Week is organized at Puskin Cinema between July 27th and August 3rd. Visitors can watch two art films daily during a whole week for a friendly price. On Friday, you can choose between two films: Room, an unforgettably harrowing – and undeniably rewarding – experience, starring Brie Larson, and Samba, a richly entertaining chronicle of an undocumented kitchen worker battling deportation from his adopted home in Paris. Both films are screened with original audio and Hungarian subtitles.
6pm - 5am: Onehundred & ELEVATED & Street Dreams Present Summer Jam '16 at PONTOON The biggest open-air rap party of the summer is soon approaching! Three of the hippest party series join forces to take Friday night to another level. From chill trap to the sounds of Atlanta, from thug life to twerk, anything can and will happen on this night, so turn up! Lineup:
glxy, Zsolaa von Faktorlabor, VANIS, Slanki, Lil Sagittarius and Sammie Beats.
7pm - : Snob, Rákosi, Nachthexen, Camp Koala, Passivists, Herion at DRRPNCSnob fully embraces that negative world view in all aspects, creating music that is as dark and confrontational as the lyrics. The result is something that bears more than a passing resemblance to Rudimentary Peni, mostly because of the interesting interplay between the guitar and the bass. Nachthexen is a new goth, synth punk band from members of TAAE and The Lug. Before/after them, Hungarian punk bands will play.
7pm - 7am: The Night of Beaches 2016 at around Budapest
On July 31st, Friday night is for the beaches. This year, there will also be a Night of the Beaches organized by the Hungarian Bath Association, which moves 50,000 people every year. Longer opening hours, music, programs, fun in the water.
The baths offer varied discounts and programs. Some will offer cheaper entry fees, elsewhere there will be live music, laser shows, foam parties, or sound baths. If you persistently browse the programs, you can find specialties like Mr. and Ms. Beach choice, night candle archery, water-gun battles, or treasure hunts. Water fitness and aerobics, sauna séance, cocktails, and light games are common programs.

10am - 10pm: CityMatiné S05E05 – Peepshow At The Valhalla at Napozó According to British and Norwegian scientists, the 30th of July is the day when all mortals can join the immortals’ feast in Valhalla – a gate will open between Earth and Asgard at the magical place where earth and water meet (Csillebérc), allowing free passage there and back. A unique moment for both immortal vikings and technocrats.
9pm - :
BEFiTRUN 2016 at Kopaszi Dam BEFiTRUN will be held for the third time as a side event to IRONMAN 70.3 Budapest. This year, participants can choose from a 10K or a half-marathon (21.1 km) distance.
BEFiTRUN will bring runners the joy of the sport with a special experience and an extraordinary atmosphere with special lights, UV reactive glow body paint, a spectacular start and finish, three thematic photo spots, summer audio vibes, and the embankments of Budapest providing beautiful scenery.
10pm - 5am: Black Trap Festival – Apex Rise at Dürer KertApex Rise is coming to Hungary for the biggest and last Black Trap event of this summer. The official ambassador of #trapcity will play in Hungary for the first time. He is known for his eclectic and bass-heavy sets, in which he mixes hip-hop, bass house, electro, glitch hop, and trap into a ferocious and explosive thing, that will surely make you shake what your mama gave ya.
10pm - 5am: Loop On The Roof No. 3 at A38 Ship Klokk and Legars’s weekly series, Loop, entertains once in a month this summer too at A38. At the first party the guest was Sazabio, who mixed house tunes with funk.
Nigel Sorter brought the freshest tech house sounds to the second event, and now comes the third party, where the Holland/Hungarian DJ/producer, Dansor will spin the records. Don't miss it!
11pm - 6am:
All Inn Showcase invites Sleep is Commercial at Corvin Club Started as a music label in 2009, the Sleep is Commercial project has grown beyond any single idea and stands before you today as an experimental, established and experienced factory for artists. On this Saturday, some of their artists will take over Corvin Club to showcase their vision of a club night.
Giuseppe Marchegiano (aka Hubble) is known as one of the most unique figures of contemporary techno, with a slight psychedelic tone and influences of classic minimalist techno.
Topper is the resident of
Club der Visionäre, who is into dark and psychedelic sounds.
Afriqua forgoes specialization in any particular genre, all the while achieving equilibrium between youthful inventiveness and a mature artistic philosophy.Sunday

Contra Mundum Afterhours – Terrace Edition at Corvin Club Budapest never sleeps – not even after a whole night spent partying. That’s why Afterhours came to life: to help you get your extra dose of electronic music on the last day of the week, beginning at 6am. This time, the DJs (Zvezda Beta, Forsek and Andras Toth) will be chilling and banging with the likeminded partygoers under the sun – on Corvin’s rooftop terrace. 3pm - 6pm:

Othello opera at Margaret Island Open-air Stage Verdi’s operatic rendition of a Shakespeare masterpiece comes alive under open skies in this eagerly anticipated production of the Budapest Summer Festival. Magyar opera diva Andrea Rost performs in the role of Desdemona while American tenor Marc Heller plays Othello, with the lyrics sung in the original Italian, all happening in the historic amphitheater beneath Margaret Island’s beautiful Water Tower.
