Our weekly roundup for the upcoming weekend offers plenty of suggestions for where to go, what to do, and who must not be missed during the next three days. There are always so many happenings to choose from in Budapest – club parties, exhibits, live music, cocktails, performances, and more – but here is our pick of the bunch for the imminent 72 hours or so:

Friday

2pm - 10pm: Downtown WINE Market at Belvárosi Piac Discover it, taste it, and take it home. Thirty prominent winemakers from distinct Hungarian wine regions fill the Downtown Wine Market between March 18-19 to present aromatic libations, while chefs await hungry guests on the gallery level with heavenly bites.
3pm - 3am: Monyo Beerography Tap Occupation at ÉlesztőMonyo is one of the best Hungarian breweries, with a beer list that ranges from Imperial American Brown Ale (Invisible Bikini) to American IPA (American Beauty). Their uncompromising attitude and love for the popular alcoholic bevarage earned them a place in every beer consumer's heart and now, the time has come: from March 16 until the end of the week, Monyo's hop-scented drinks flow from all of Élesztő pub's 26 taps.
11pm - 6am: Corvin Club & LavaLava Present Cosmin TRG at Corvin Club How does the main figure of the Bukarest dubstep scene become a popular techno DJ in Berlin just in a few years, with performances at Berghain, many appearances at the label of Modeselektor and groovy houses at Rush Hour? The answer is only known by Cosmin Nicolae aka Cosmin TRG, who will return to Budapest this Friday to spin the most future-thinking techno cuts above the city.

11pm - 6am: Friday Lust - Basics, Immi V, Goyah at Tesla BudapestFriday Lust at Tesla is Budapest’s greatest girly party, definitely not only for ladies, but for everyone who likes to dance all night to the best nu disco, house, and modern electro hits. Is there a better way to spend your Friday night than shaking your hips to the beats with a tasty cocktail in your hand? We think not.

11.30 pm - 6am:

Bladerunnaz Presents Gridlok, DLR
at A38 ShipA true pioneer of the drum ’n’ bass sound, Gridlok remains one of the most highly regarded artists in the industry. With a discography spanning over a decade and featuring classics such as “Moodswings”, “Bottomfeeder”, and “Standing Room Only”, it’s little wonder that the Gridlok name has become synonymous with timeless drum ’n’ bass. His partner in crime, DLR is responsible for a huge amount of releases on well-respected drum ’n’ bass labels, Dispatch Recordings, Hardware, Sonorous Music, and plenty of forthcoming material on Metalheadz, Shogun, and Horizons, so he knows well how to keep a crowd entertained.Saturday

10am - 6pm: Creative Arts Fair - Applied Arts Spring Fair at Museum of Applied Arts Localcontemporary jewelry designers, ceramists, and industrial designers present their newest collections and fresh ideas on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. Fashion and design aficionados, collectors of creative decorations can find fresh favorites at numerous stands of more than 60 exhibitors. Besides shopping, this event is a great opportunity to meet the designers, and learn about the products from a different point of view. Here, everyone will have the chance to challenge their creativity, while the educators of the museum will provide activities for the little ones.

10am - 5pm:

Magic Castle – Interactive exhibition and game
at Museum of Hungarian Agriculture An interactive exhibition opens this spring at the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture that guides visitors through several rooms of an imaginary Magic Castle. In every corner of the castle, riddles, surprising phenomena, and magical creatures test participants' attention and courage. Upon entering, visitors receive a game card, which provides a chance to get closer to the secret as they stroll through each room. Besides these exciting activities, several gifts await adventurous souls across more than 1,000 square meters.
3pm - 6pm: Capture The Flag at City Park Before the city is draped in feathers again on April 2 during this year's Pillow Fight Day, the event organizers kick off with a jubilee Capture-The-Flag game in Budapest's City Park. Two teams, two colors and one mission: find and acquire the opponent team’s flag and reach the defined border with the ensign in hand. Participants are free to use bicycle, skateboard, scooter, rollerblade or even hitchhike, the only thing that matters is that you enjoy the game and lead your team to victory! Go reds, go yellows!

11pm - 6am: NVC Presents Max Cooper at Akvárium ClubAs an uncompromising and individual musician, Max Cooper has carved out his own artistic space between the worlds of emotional dancefloor experimentation, fine-art sound design, and endlessly varied attempts to examine the scientific world through visuals. He has now had more than 12 million streams of his music, and his festival appearances range from experimental sets at MUTEK and sit-down gigs in Paris, to pounding out techno to 10,000 people at Awakenings and Igloofest. This time, he’ll play a “regular” set, but if you are familiar with his performances, you already know that there's always a twist when he is on stage.
11pm - 6am: Corvin Club & Disqrate Present Phil Weeks at Corvin ClubAs a follow-up to the phenomenally successful debut night of newcomer party series Disqrate, the frenchman Phil Weeks comes to Corvin to play another amazing set. Weeks is the owner of acclaimed label Robsoul Recordings, so it’s no wonder he's at his best on the field of house music – especially when it comes to mixing oldschool Chicago sounds with elements of the new french movement, ranging from the deepest sounds to the hardest tunes of tech-house. With 20 years under his belt, and classics like “Yeah I Like It”, or “It Put Me Well”, it's easy to understand why Weeks stands out as a producer as well.

Sunday

6am - 2pm:
Contra Mundum Presents Afterhours
at Corvin Bar
Budapest never sleeps – not even after a Saturday night spent dancing and drinking.

That’s why Afterhours came to life: a party series that takes place every Sunday beginning at 6am at Corvin Club, for those who still don’t want to leave the club scene, but instead spend some more time on the dance floor. This time Jaffa Surfa, Monoclick & Electric Boutique, and David Mole & Smole will stand behind the decks.
10am - 6pm: WAMP – spotlight on sustainable design at Millenáris Park On March 20 the first WAMP fair of the year will put a spotlight on sustainable design; the designers of eco-conscious fashion and design will present themselves here. You can select pieces for the spring renewal of your wardrobe or home from brands that feel responsible for the environment and society, as well. Visitors can browse through eco-friendly and ethically-made clothing items, recycled jewels and accessories, interior décor pieces, natural cosmetics, and tasteful treats from the farmers’ market.
10am - 1pm:

Palace Of Delights
at MüPa – Palace Of ArtsThe Palace of Delights awaits families who wish to spend time with creative, and meaningful activities. The children’s concerts, dance shows, and fairy-tale theatrical acts – as well as musicals and other creative activities, including games – are always linked to a weekly theme of the Palace of Arts.
12pm - 6pm: Macaron Day 2016 at Akvárium KlubA vibrant occasion pleasing sweet-toothed Magyars is happening again in Budapest, as the city’s most colorful confections take the spotlight at the outset of springtime. Held on the same day (March 20th) as Macaron Day in Paris and in New York City, this delightful get-together now stimulates the taste buds of Budapest’s refined dessert aficionados at the Akvárium Klub in downtown Budapest. Dedicated to the flavorful French macaron (a sweet meringue-based confection available in many flavors), during the event visitors can not only sample but also learn how to bake these miniature colorful cakes with sinfully tempting filling.
8pm - 11.30pm: Tricot, Rosa Parks, Fresh Out Of The Bus at A38 ShipThe Japanese Tricot, a “nothing to compare with” band full of power and creativity presents its second album over the Danube. The support acts will be a young but already quite mature trio from Slovakia Fresh Out Of The Bus and Rosa Parks, a well-known Hungarian math rock band.
