10am - 12pm: “The Lonely Cedar – Csontváry’s Genius” at Várkert Bazaar Admire this comprehensive retrospective of Magyar painter Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka – a significant avant-garde artist of the early 20th century – titled “The Lonely Cedar – Csontváry’s Genius”, now on view in the former Army Headquarters building of the Buda Castle, open to visitors through December 31.
10am - 6pm: Sándor Lakatos Menswear – Private Sale at Paulay Ede Street 41., doorbell 28
As the name suggests, SL’s Menswear is an independent menswear brand, based in and produced in Europe, specializing in the production of high-quality, perfectly tailored formal wear and visionary, extroverted casual wear. Between July 16-21, you can try and order pieces from the 2015 fall-winter collection with a 20% discount, celebrating the occasion of the downtown showroom’s opening.
Noon - 8pm: Lovebug Vintage Super Sale at Lovebug Vintage Another exciting all-day program in the salon of LoveBug Vintage. You can browse through the latest discounted vintage treasures while sipping icy fröccs: dresses, vintage shorts, bathing suits, sunglasses, jackets, shoes, antique jewelry, oversized and skinny pieces, jeans, velvet, and leather galore!
4pm - 10pm: Beach Olympics at Matiné NapozóThe first real Beach Olympics will be held at the former citadel of sporty young communists, in Matiné Napozó at Csillabérc, atop the Buda Hills near Normafa.
Teams of three can compete in sports like volleyball, ping-pong, and petanque.
7pm - 10.15pm: Puma Danger, Naxatras, Moon Duo at A38 ShipWooden Ships founder and frontman Ripley Johnson returns to the A38 Ship with a new formation with his wife, Moon Duo, to present their latest album.
“Shadow of the Sun” is a beautiful, suggestive, hypnotic-drone album, so we should prepare for a serious concert experience.
Before them, the local Puma Danger and the Greek Naxatras will perform.Saturday
6am - 6am: Be Massive 24h Label Opening Party at CorvintetőFrom dawn till dawn, a really massive party: it starts on the sunny rooftop terrace, with ping-pong, grilled goods, and of course, music, which will get darker as the day goes on. Nearly 20 DJs will stand behind the decks to present their vision of electronic music, guaranteeing that you’ll surely hear something to your liking. Be a part of a blooming legend, be massive!
10am - 8pm: CityMatiné S04E06 – EmojiMe at Golftanya The almighty summertime open-air party series is back for another round of sun-kissed dance music, unlimited green areas, ice-cold coolers, and a lot more. A real daytime party filled with good vibrations.
11am - 6pm:
July bicycle and parts bourse at Dürer Kert
The monthly bike fair will be relaunched to feature various fun activities. Get a used bike, bike parts, or accessories, or if you have anything to sell, register at durerbringaborze@gmail.com. Since this will be one of the biggest bike fairs of the month, you shouldn’t miss it.
3.30pm - 8pm: Collective cooking and pancake party at Anker’tBring vegetables or your favorite cooking equipment and prepare a really delicious stew with the members of Budapest Bike Maffia, who will deliver the dish to those who really need it. If you want to help them out, you can also arrive by bike and help with the deliveries. After the cooking session, a pancake party will start, where everybody can present his or her favorite, homemade filling – the best one is rewarded with a BBM T-shirt!
5pm - 4am: Anna & the Barbies, Amber Smith at Budapest ParkFounded in 2004, Anna & the Barbies walked through every compulsory stage of a rock ’n’ roll band: they played in underpasses, smoky pubs, table-stages, truck stops, clubs, community centers, festivals, and stadiums. The elapsed time forged the group into a thumping rock band. The Barbies, stuck between Anna’s provocative, grotesque, shocking theatrical appearance and the Marshall speakers, present raw and elemental lyrics. For the concert, we recommend earplugs, playsuits, a large dose of openness, and a rock ’n’ roll spirit!

11am - 7pm: WAMP Design Market at Erzsébet Square With the warmest month of the year, the heatwave and the festival season both hit the capital with full force. If you could use some inspiration or would like to spice up your wardrobe with some festival pieces, WAMP is the best place you could ask for. Even if you did not catch the festival fever and just need a few special pieces for the holidays, the market still has some things in store for you. Go to Erzsébet Square on July 19 and browse through the novelties of more than 100 domestic and foreign designers, taste the delicacies of the gastro exhibitors, or just look around and have a nice Sunday.
Noon - 10pm: Sundaze Volume 3 – Fantastic Man at 360 Bar 360 Bar invites everyone to the roof again, now with two members of Girls&Maths.Tom Select, and Benson Madame bringing the high spirits, as 360 Bar ensures the panoramic terrace and the refreshments, and Fantastic Man will act as the icing on the cake.
3pm - 6pm: FessNeki at AkváriumPaint like your favorite famous painter, like Van Gogh, Klimt, or Monet, and discover the creativity inherent in you! The FessNeki team is putting on a special summer event. FessNeki is about having fun and freely creating art as a member of a community. Why not organize a special date or meet some new people, since there’s no way you can ruin your painting, and what’s even better is that you need no previous training or skill to accomplish this. Come and experience this great event and become an accomplished painter!
