Wolfgang Puck is a defining figure in Californian cuisine. Now, for the first time in Europe, this world-famous, innovative Michelin-starred chef has brought his Spago restaurant, hub of culinary and social life in Beverly Hills, to Budapest. Puck combines the fusion typical of Californian cuisine – the influences of South America, Europe and Asia – with Austrian verve. Now with this opening in Budapest, Hungarian gastronomy is also added to the mix. The restaurant on the ground floor and terrace of the Matild Palace, transformed into a grandiose heritage investment, is elegant, stylish and informal at the same time. Here, the focus is not only on tourists, as it is equally important to attract Budapest diners. The kitchen is underscored by open, high-quality, fusion bistro cuisine interwoven with fine-dining elements, led by István Szántó, executive chef known from Costes Downtown.
