Pozsonyi út is the main street in trendy Újlipótváros, District XIII, frequented by dog-walkers and young families, and lined with new-wave cafés and breakfast venues, making the choice of morning coffee a tricky one for savvy locals. Competing for their favour are places such as Ébresztő, the Partisan Coffee Shop, My Green Cup and the Sárki Fűszeres. There is a good selection of doughnuts, cheesecakes, pastries, lunches, ice cream, green areas and book outlets, as well. History is close at hand, with old craftsmen’s shops, houses built in Art Deco style between the wars, plaques denoting Jewish safehouses in 1944, and classic locations such as the Dunapark Café.
