Cziniel Budakeszi: sumptuous breakfasts and family lunches under chestnut trees

We recently visited the opening of the latest Cziniel’s location, Cziniel Budakeszi, the new community space in the charming small town of Budakeszi, near the capital, which offers delicious food, cool drinks, and great social activities. In addition to the usual Cziniel hospitality with fresh pastries and creamy ice creams, they also serve wholesome breakfasts, specialty coffees, and family lunches from 2-4 on weekends. Dishes include popular brunch staples, like avocado toast and Eggs Benedict, along with a number of light options, including shakshuka with poached eggs and their reimagined kalecasserole. Cziniel weekend family lunches are a must: try their guinea fowl soup followed by roast pork chops, and a sweet treat – all accompanied by live music. Whether you choose to sit outside in the pleasant shaded garden under the chestnut trees or inside in the welcoming interior, you’re sure to enjoy your time at Cziniel. For the little ones, there’s an indoor and outdoor children’s corner. By car, it’s a short 25-minute drive from the centre of Budapest, or you can take bus 22 or 22A from Széll Kálmán tér to Szanatórium utca, and the bus will drop you off right at Cziniel.
