Award-winning photographer Péter Kálló often uses Budapest as a major theme for his projects, and he likes playing with lenses to create mystical memories of the city’s attractions, as he regularly presents his pictures with unexpected elements. The artist recently used a high-flying drone to shoot Budapest’s postcard-superstar Chain Bridge from above, showing the panoramic span from different angles during the cold winter months, when dense fog coated the Danube with a milky layer.
Magyar train engineer Tamás Rizsavi has great passion for photography and for Hungary’s capital, so he is often out and about in Budapest capturing the city’s beautiful scenes. The artist has always been fascinated by the city’s stunning wintery settings, and he lately shared a photo gallery on the popular Bored Panda website that presents some favorite foggy shots he took during the last four years – the psychedelic pictures portray several Budapest landmarks, including beautiful bridges, the Buda Castle, and the Parliament.
In 2015, one misty autumn morning was enough to inspire Budapest-native urban photographer Krisztián Bódis to get up with the morning sun and head to Margaret Island to snap enchanting shots of the hazy parkland, while it was being traversed by fellow early-rising city dwellers. The stunning shots depict a runner warming up beneath Margaret Bridge when it was covered in a blanket of fog, along with Pest’s cityscape disappearing in the haze, and in a few of his shots only the silhouette of the Parliament is visible as it’s enveloped in pink mist.
