Within its exhibition, the
Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Arts
lays emphasis on the new artistic endeavors, decisive tendencies, and emerging art communities of the region. An
exhibition
featuring the forceful and fascinating artistic positions of
Albanian
and
Kosovar
artists is on view until September 11th.
Until now, art historians primarily studied the cultural, social, and political questions raised by the two art scenes within the context of the
Balkans
. The exhibition, involving almost thirty artists, will be the first in Hungary to focus jointly on the Albanian and Kosovar artworks and artistic positions of the past ten-fifteen years, pointing out the common points but sometimes contradictory aspects of the artistic scenes of the two countries.
