When a museum aims to spread contemporary art, it’s only natural that its gift shop sells the creations of local designers – besides the exhibition-related publications, art albums, and art magazines, of course. The shop (which can be visited without an entry ticket) on the first floor of Ludwig Museum has unique, small-series products like Malinovka diaries, Blacklist paper products, the minimalist glass, wooden and metal jewelry of Juli Ilyés and Personal Perception, the uniquely painted pouches of Zsófi Hidasi, Seertees bags, posters from Urban Sidewalker, and the concrete clocks of MOHA design. We could list all of the 30 designers whose products are available here, but it's already clear that the selection here is a real rarity among museum gift shops.
