The Spíler brand has been an integral part of Budapest’s restaurant scene since 2012, with Spíler in Gozsdu Courtyard being a popular nightlife destination for years. Earlier this October, Spíler Biergarten brought fantastic craft beer and delicious street food to the Castle District. In 2018, Spíler Buda opened inside Mom Park, embracing rock and roll vibes and offering a fresh take on their food and drinks selection. It is welcoming, cool yet sophisticated, the service is friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks are worth a visit alone.

One of Spíler Buda’s biggest strengths is the sheer variety of dishes on offer. From traditional Hungarian goulash soup to hummus, tortilla chips, superfoods, artisan burgers, shrimp and salmon dishes, right through to hearty and meaty mains, the menu truly has something for everyone. Vegetarians will find options as well, plus, there's a special kids' menu for the mini Spíler fans.
Soups and starters
To warm up, choose finger food like torpedo shrimp, Buffalo chicken wings, or tortilla chips served with homemade guacamole, but we highly recommend a traditional Hungarian goulash soup, as it's a perfect choice during the colder months. At Spíler Buda, it's perfectly spiced, hearty and comes served with fresh sourdough bread on the side.
Salads and superfoods
Next, cast your eyes on the salads and superfood bowls, packed with all sorts of fresh, filling and hearty ingredients. Alongside classic Caesar salad, you’ll find gems like the Spíler Superfood Bowl, brimming with brown rice, chickpeas, soybeans, broccoli, cucumber, tomatoes, fresh avocado and superfood seeds, all drizzled with tahini dressing. Or, try the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, which mixes black and brown rice, quinoa, soybeans, radishes, carrots, red onion, scallions, cucumber, edamame beans, and teriyaki mayo.
Artisan burgers and grilled meats
Spíler also offers divine artisan burgers, featuring some epic options like the Beyond Burger with a veggie patty, The G.O.A.T Burger with goat cheese and hummus, and the crowd-favourite BBQ Burger served with maple-glazed bacon, salad, cheese sauce, bacon jam, crispy onions, tomato and homemade BBQ sauce. Beyond burgers, grilled meats and fish also feature; don't miss the Angus Rib Eye or Miso salmon steak or the deliciously grilled pork shoulder.

Feeling thirsty? Along with a range of spirits, lemonades, excellent wines, champagnes, and gin & tonics, Spíler also serves up some indulgent cocktails. Oh, and they have their own signature beer, which pairs perfectly with their burgers and meat dishes.

The dessert selection includes superstars like chocolate brownies, cheesecake and ice cream. But our favourite this time was the light and airy Spíler Somlói, which is a type of Hungarian chocolatey sponge cake with custard. It pairs perfectly with a coffee and it is heavenly.
