Guerrilla sculptor Mihajlo Kolodko, known for his humorous figurines placed around town, has just left a mini sculpture at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest. And it is of a cat you definitely recognise.

The American comic strip superstar, also known as the legendary cat who hates Mondays and diets but adores lasagna, turned 45 yesterday. Garfield was created by Jim Davis and got published in newspapers nationwide in June 1978. On this occasion, Mihajlo (or Mihály) Kolodko, an urban sculptor who has already left statuettes of Mr Bean's teddy bear, Emperor Franz Joseph, and a dog scattered around town, strikes with a new creation. You can see the mini statue smiling lazily from the gate of the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest (on the side of Dembinszky utca). Funnily enough, he is placed right next to a dog.
