Budapest may be a festival hotspot in summer, but the music scene doesn't slow down when autumn and winter arrive. In fact, club season is just getting started, bringing back some of the artists who made their mark at Sziget. Los Angeles industrial rock trio HEALTH, who delivered one of the festival's heaviest performances, are returning to Barba Negra alongside Carpenter Brut. Meanwhile, Giant Rooks are swapping Sziget's Main Stage for Akvárium Klub, bringing their indie-pop anthems to a more intimate setting, while Baby Lasagna will take things up a notch with a heavier sound at A38 Ship.

It's no secret that we love Sziget Festival, but even we have to admit that we missed a few concerts we really wanted to see. Luckily, there's now a chance to catch up, as Budapest's live music scene continues to grow, bringing some of the world's biggest artists to the city's clubs rather than just festival main stages. This autumn and winter, several Sziget favourites are heading to Barba Negra, Akvárium Klub and A38 Ship, with new albums and fresh sounds to share. So even if you caught them at Sziget, there's still plenty to look forward to.

A sci-fi-inspired journey with HEALTH and Carpenter Brut

Los Angeles industrial rock trio HEALTH brought an apocalyptic atmosphere, intense sounds and ethereal melodies to this year's Sziget Festival. Now, fans can experience it all again on 19 November at Barba Negra, where the band will perform alongside Carpenter Brut. HEALTH released their latest album, Conflict DLC, at the end of last year, pushing genre boundaries even further.

Carpenter Brut, meanwhile, blends electronic music, metal and 1980s pop culture to create a distinctive sound that's both dark and energetic. The French producer returns to Budapest after eight years with his new concept album, Leather Temple, promising a night filled with neon-lit atmosphere. Joining Carpenter Brut and HEALTH will be VOWWS, bringing their mysterious death-pop sound to the stage. It's the perfect chance to experience this sci-fi-inspired musical journey live!

Giant Rooks return with a new album

After winning over the crowd on Sziget's Main Stage and playing a sold-out show at Dürer Kert, Giant Rooks are heading back to Budapest. The German indie-pop band are set to release their new album, If Heaven Exists, This Might Be It, in mid-October and will bring their latest songs to Akvárium Klub on 21 February as part of their album tour.

Loss, loneliness, hope, dreams and nostalgia form the starting point of Giant Rooks' third studio album. Across its 12 tracks, the record explores the longing for connection in a world marked by manipulation, alienation and inner conflict. Amid fleeting moments, memories and uncertainty, the band turns its attention to what truly matters: love and friendship. Through their distinctive indie-pop sound, Giant Rooks explore and celebrate the beauty of finding something heavenly in everyday life. Here's what the band had to say about their new album:

We've been together as a band for over 10 years. Working on this album was the hardest thing we've ever done. We started in early 2025, and from the very beginning, we tried to let go of all external expectations and simply make music that felt completely authentic to us.

Baby Lasagna at A38 Ship

Baby Lasagna shot to fame at Eurovision, but rather than simply riding the wave of his success, he decided to challenge the hype surrounding him. His latest album, End The Party, does just that, keeping his trademark irony and humour while turning up the heavier sounds. One thing's for sure: the party is far from over, as Baby Lasagna has announced his End The Party tour, which will bring him back to Budapest on 5 December at A38 Ship.

With his infectious energy, witty yet critical songs and love of cats, Baby Lasagna quickly won over fans. His latest move, however, isn't about building on that success, but responding to it. End The Party marks a return to his alternative and metal roots, bringing not only a shift in sound but also a personal reckoning with himself. Here's how the singer describes it:

Ever since primary school, we've identified as those kids dressed in black, wearing T-shirts with scarecrow designs – and now we've fully embraced that side of ourselves.
