We adore InterContinental Budapest's special feasts, leisurely brunches, and thematic dishes for every major holiday. Easter is no exception. And as festive dishes are a huge part of Hungarian traditions, heading to the Corso Restaurant and trying them all feels like a pretty good plan. Ask for a table by the window or sit on the terrace if the weather is nice, as you can catch a stunning riverside view. If you feel like cosying up at home instead of going out, you can opt for the takeaway menu, and choose from the wide range of the festive offer.

Hungarians are big on holidays. And if you are about to celebrate Easter in Budapest (7-10 April), do it the traditional way; by eating. The Corso Restaurant at the InterContinental Budapest is once again preparing a sumptuous offering for the biggest holiday of spring. Come the second weekend of April, you can try Easter brunch bites and a four-course menu while taking in a stunning view. Or you can have a holiday feast to go.

Easter brunch

What could be better than starting Easter Sunday on the banks of the Danube and enjoying a leisurely Sunday brunch with your loved ones? On 9 April, Corso Restaurant will be welcoming you with a buffet selection, local wines, beers, soft drinks, and, of course, refreshing coffees. The bountiful Easter table offers an array of freshly sliced hams, Mediterranean antipasti, smoked Mangalica ham, cured grey beef tenderloin, smoked fish, shrimp, and sushi. Of course, fresh garden greens, bread, and pastries will accompany the Easter feast, and egg dishes, hot dishes, soups, main courses, desserts, and cheese plates are also on offer.

Easter lunch and dinner

If you'd rather visit the Corso Restaurant for Easter lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed either, as the chefs are preparing a great four-course festive menu from 3 to 9 April. For starters, you can try foie gras mousse and duck rillette terrine with peppered brioche and raspberry celery chutney. The soup is a real spring dish: the chefs have dreamed up an asparagus cream soup for the festive menu, which comes with truffle grissini.

The main course consists of braised lamb knuckles, complete with spring vegetables, potato noodles, and rosemary jus. To finish, the mascarpone rhubarb carrot cake crowns the meal.

Easter box for takeaway

And if you'd rather spend Easter cosying up with family or a few friends, but don't feel like cooking, you can also count on Corso Restaurant. The chefs have prepared a generous Easter box for takeaway, which serves at least five people. Starters include garden greens with fresh vegetables, thousand island and honey lemon dressings, stuffed eggs, rosemary ham rolls stuffed with horseradish cream, mayonnaise vegetable salad, and more exotic treats such as hummus, labneh, and muhammara.

For mains, we have whole baked lamb leg with oriental rice or pork porchetta with spring vegetables and rosemary baked potatoes. Dessert will include carrot cake with berries, or you can opt for the Hungarian Easter Sweet Selection with Eszterházy cake, Gerbaud slices, punch mignon, or "Rákóczi" cheesecake. The package also includes a bottle of white or red wine.
