With the holidays fast approaching, it's time to buy presents and treat yourself to something special. We offer some places to go if you're looking to break out of the Bermuda Triangle of funny mugs, warm socks, and shower gel this year and treat your loved ones or yourself to something they'll enjoy for years to come.

The Grand Christmas Pop-Up at W Budapest

The opening of the W Budapest in the former Ballet Institute building was one of the most anticipated events in recent years. The building, the hotel, and the bar are all stunning, and now you get to have a sneak peek inside. A Christmas pop-up market is opening soon, organised by the creative team of Lepopup Budapest, featuring products from 10 local brands. There'll be Daige clothes, Anett Safran ceramics, Nini bags; and products that are perfectly in tune with the beautiful surroundings.

Projekt Showroom Pop-up Christmas Market

Projekt Showroom is waiting for those who would like to shop in a relaxed, intimate, and friendly atmosphere for all members of the family instead of the crowds at its former home on Paulay Ede utca. Cosmetics, fashion, gastronomy, books, prints, and gourmet gifts await shoppers on around 160 square metres.

Makers’ Market

Get ready to celebrate with Makers' Market and around 40 local designers. Choose from cheaper and pricier gifts, small thoughtful treats, and more prestigious design items, this time at the Marczibányi Téri Cultural Centre.

Tribal-Steampunk Christmas Market

If you're looking for something unique, something you won't see on the street, and you're tired of the usual green and red Santa scene, then Dürer Kert is the place to be. The joint event of Turbina's Tribal Market and Steampunk Design Market will not only feature steampunk and tribal items and costumes but also a colourful selection of musical offerings.

Christmas Art Fair and Exhibition

At the PANEL Contemporary exhibition and fair organized by Faur Zsófi Gallery, open until December 22, the artists will exhibit small works of art that will make special gifts for your loved ones. The event will feature a selection of works by Domonkos Benyovszky-Szűcs, Tamás Dobos, Ferenc Forrai, Áron Gábor, Bíborka Lina Gacsályi, György Gáti, Gábor Arion Kudász, Zoltán Lublóy, Endre Lukoviczky, Márton Romvári, and Miklós Vörös.

Turbina Designer Market

Turbina's weekend designer market offers clothes, jewellery, and other accessories, tattoos, piercings, as well as a cool manicure to complete your outfit. BudaBeats and Soul Cure Records will bring their vinyl collections, and there will be a Skatehouse party in the main hall.

SHUK SHUK Christmas Design Fair

SHUK SHUK will offer an exciting range of products; ceramics, prints, books, and clothes will be placed under the tree. 14 designers will be featured, including, Éviköt, Szofi by nature, Tomcsányi, LUNO studio, and Olovka.

WAMP Design Fair

WAMP, the oldest and largest art fair in town, will be held on the first floor of Bálna, in a beautiful location with panoramic views, delicacies, and the usual ingenious, sophisticated, and high-end gifts. A selection of works by around 100 artists will be on display at the event, for a HUF 1,500 entrance fee, which includes a purchase credit for the exhibitors' website.

I. Adventi Czakó Piacz

Who wouldn't love a treat for Christmas? The Czakó Piacz is one of the best places to spoil your family with goods such as mushrooms, dips and spreads, sauces, syrups, and a selection of local products. And if you feel like picking up the festive accessories and the Christmas tree, you are welcome to do so.

Gólya – 'Gyüttmen' Christmas Market and Bazaar

With a craft market, workshops, performances and music, this event is guaranteed to be a great place to meet and get to know people.

Green Market

The Green Market , organized by Hello Market and the Never Give Up Foundation, takes place at Klauzál tér Market Hall.
