Here are the opening dates for Budapest's baths and spas

For decades you could splash into Budapest’s open-air pools on May 1st. But nowadays, the opening dates are fitted to the weather and customer demand. Let’s see when the capital’s spas and baths will open in 2023!

The open-air section of the Gellért Baths has already been open to bathers more accustomed to the cold since April 22nd, but the wave pool still offers no wave service. The adventure and children’s pools at Palatinus have also been open since April. At Dagály, the 50-metre swimming pool’s opening hours got extended until 7:30 pm, and the thermal and shallow pools are also back in use.

On May 27th (the Pentecost weekend), the Csillaghegy Árpád Thermal Baths, the Paskál Open-Air Baths, and the entire Palatinus open-air area will open. The latter will also host an opening party on June 10th. They will be followed by the opening of the Pesterzsébet Iodine-Salt Thermal & Open-Air Baths on June 3rd and the Pünkösdfürdő Baths on June 17th (June 24th in case of bad weather). The opening of the Római Baths is scheduled for June 18th.
