With Budapest getting ever more bike-friendly, there’s more good news for cyclists as two bus routes heading to the scenic district of Rózsadomb are now allowing travellers to bring their two-wheelers on with them. Both the 91 and 291 set off from Nyugati station before winding their way around the panoramic slopes of Buda. All buses bearing a bicycle pictogram are valid, although bikes will not be allowed on if the vehicle is too crowded.

Along with Buda’s other green destinations of Normafa and Svábhegy, Rózsadomb will now be more accessible to cyclists thanks to buses 91 and 291 accepting bikes on board.

The 91 runs to the Chairlift, the 291 around the wealthier neighbourhood of Rózsadomb before terminating at Széll Kálmán tér via Városmajor park.

Standard tickets and passes are valid. For schedule details, see here.
