BMX, trio and mountain bikers now have their own track within easy reach of the city centre. Funded by the local council and the National Cycle Programme, the free course sits by the Sport11 Centre on the tram 41 route in District XI. Authorities hope that the facility will attract young riders who until now had been using the nearby streets around Budaörs Airport.

For BMX riders, pump tracks are perfect for performing spectacular jumps at speed as their design allows their momentum to carry them around the course.

This year, the National Cycle Programme is supporting 52 tracks around Hungary, including this new one in south Buda. All outdoors and 120 metres long, the Újbuda Bringapark should also allow beginners to practise basic skills. Admission is free.
