MONOLIT FESTIVAL
Monolit Festival brings together some of the most exciting contemporary acts from the worlds of progressive metal, metalcore, hardcore, noise, industrial and experimental music. On 24 July, Dürer Kert will once again welcome fans of heavier sounds, with a line-up featuring American bands House of Protection and Elder, alongside Greece's 1000mods and Naxatras, as well as a selection of Hungarian artists.

RACE WEEKEND AT W BUDAPEST
This July, W Budapest is bringing the excitement of the Hungarian Grand Prix beyond the circuit with a series of Formula 1-inspired experiences at the iconic Drechsler Palace. The programme includes a LEGO installation in the hotel's courtyard (13 - 31 July), a Monaco-inspired menu at Le Petit Beefbar from 24 to 26 July, and the highlight of the weekend, W Presents: Race Weekend Edition on 26 July, headlined by electronic duo Gheist. Created in collaboration with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, the multi-day programme blends music, food and design with the unmistakable energy of race weekend in the heart of Budapest.

BIG STREET PARTY ON NAGY FUVAROS STREET
On 25 July, Nagy Fuvaros Street will come alive for a day as local venues and community organisations come together to celebrate the neighbourhood. Organised by Pók, Lahmacun Radio, Susuka and the Moduláris Kollektíva, the free event features live music, dancing, communal cooking, craft activities and special drinks. More than just a street festival, it's a chance to experience the welcoming spirit of the area and celebrate the local community together.

MANGA DAY AT THE MUSEUM OF ETHNOGRAPHY
The Museum of Ethnography invites manga and anime fans, as well as anyone interested in Japanese culture, to spend a day exploring Japan's rich visual heritage. The programme includes curator-led tours, ukiyo-e woodblock printing and calligraphy workshops, yukata try-ons, talks on Japanese pop culture, kamishibai paper theatre performances, video games and a Japanese taiko drum concert. Bringing together both traditional and contemporary elements of Japanese visual culture, the event offers a unique opportunity to discover the many faces of Japan in a single day.

BABY IN THE GARDEN: FAMILY PROGRAMMES AT THE PETŐFI LITERARY MUSEUM
The garden of the Petőfi Literary Museum will welcome families with young children for a morning of free activities centred around the idea of slow living. Designed for children under the age of four and their parents, the programme includes a cosy reading corner, short talks, museum education sessions, expert discussions, a play area and a children's book swap. Participation is free, but advance registration is required.

FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX
The Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix takes place on Sunday at the Hungaroring. Starting at 3 pm, the race sees drivers complete 70 laps of the circuit just outside Budapest, bringing another Formula 1 weekend in Hungary to a close.

SPEND A SLOW SUNDAY
If you'd rather escape the crowds, slow things down with an open-air yoga session in one of Budapest's parks before settling into one of the city's cosy cafés.
