This Sunday, 24 October, Budapest’s yellow M1 metro line serving Andrássy út, Heroes’ Square and City Park will be closed for essential maintenance. Replacement buses will be running along most of the line, between Deák tér and the eastern terminus at Mexikói út. The line will also be closed the following weekend, on both days, 30 and 31 October.

As currently being announced in English on train carriages, Budapest’s historic M1 metro line, the oldest on continental Europe, will be closing this Sunday, 24 October and the following weekend.

The route serves several essential attractions, including the House of Terror Museum and the galleries either side of Heroes’ Square, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Műcsarnok. As well as replacement services, regular bus line 105 also runs up and down Andrássy út.
