Guerrilla sculptor Mihajlo Kolodko is used to causing a stir when he leaves his figurines around town. The gun-toting meerkat by the statue of Columbo, a kidnapped Lisa Simpson and Franz Liszt with his suitcase at Budapest’s airport of the same name, all exude gentle humour with perhaps a nod towards cultural history.

Since becoming a well-known figure himself, Kolodko has collaborated with bodies such as the District VII council and Dreher beer to illustrate aspects of urban tradition.

This latest work, however, is again a bit of a mystery as neither the location nor the figure itself point towards a specific reference. As always, though, it does leave Budapest guessing...
