With the temperature climbing and a holiday atmosphere around the city, Budapest transport company BKK have reported a 15% drop in passengers wearing masks as opposed to the 100% observed this spring at the height of the shutdown. Keep masks on is the message!
The company stressed the importance of everyone wearing masks or face coverings, and insisted that this was still vital in the battle against coronavirus. They also underlined that staff could remove any passenger not covering his or her face.
