With summer now fully upon us, public drinking fountains have just been installed at eight metro stations on blue line 3. Hygienic and made from stainless steel, they’re also handy for filling up your water bottle.

If you’ve been travelling on Budapest metro line 3 since temperatures have climbed, you’d probably appreciate a cooling drink. Now you can slake your thirst at eight stations – Lehel tér, Dózsa György út, Göncz Árpád Városközpont, Forgách utca, Gyöngyösi utca, Újpest-Városkapu, Újpest-Központ and Nagyvárad tér – while filling up your water bottle at the same time.
