A graphic artist from Budapest is behind a unique project in which he created a type of beer for each of the city’s most popular clubs and bars. In BUDAPEST LABEL TOUR, Péter Csuth played with the idea of what it would be like if each venue made its own beer – and, if so, which one would be appropriate for which place. Guess which one is which!

“Budapest is a city of pubs, ruin pubs, pubs and drinkers,” said Péter. “Everyone has a good story about places, everyone is attached to them in some way or other. Young, older, Hungarian, tourist, Buda, Pest. But not only do we have stories about pubs, but these places also have their own history, character, individuality. What would A38 or Béla look like if it were a person? I don’t know the answer to that, but I played with the idea of what it would be like if the 14 different places I collected made their own beer and each of them had a label appropriate for that place.”

The collection includes the A38 Ship, Beat On The Brat, Béla, Doboz, Dürer Kert, the Dzzs bár, Kertem (sadly not open this year), Központ, Vittula, LÄRM, Skal, Neked Csak Dezső, Szimpla Kert and Telep.
